Marshall
County
Humane Society Inc
History of MCHS
We are a private Indiana not-for-profit
organization, incorporated on December 17, 1982. Because we are located
in, and serve the citizens and animals of Marshall County, our name contains the
words "Marshall County", but we are not a department or
division of the county government. We are an independent organization, funded mostly by contributions and
fundraising activities,
although we do earn a small part of our revenue by contracting to provide
animal control services to the county and most cities within the county.
